The Manchester Terrier is a lively, affectionate ,eager to learn breed. The Manchester was developed in England.They were bred to hunt rats and other small vermin. There are two varieties of the Manchester terrier the Standard over 12 pds should not be over 22 and the Toy should not be over 12 pds. The only difference in the two size and ears. The ears on a toy are natural and ears on a Standard can be Natural , Button , or Cropped .Manchester are wonderful little dogs that love there owner and want to please them. Manchester are terriers so they do need to be trained or like most dogs they will take over if you let them. If you are looking for a small , smart, short coated, loyal, fun loving dog the Manchester may be right for you.
